Jesus And The Essenes

As mentioned in ‘Apostle to Mary Magdalene’, the Qumran community was located close to the Dead Sea in Israel. It became famous when ancient texts were discovered there in 1947 – these became known as the Dead Sea Scrolls.

Qumran was believed to be an all male Essene community. The Essenes were a secretive Holy order and their way of living is described in Chapter V of ‘Mary Magdalene’s Final Legacy’.

I came across a book called ‘Jesus and the Essenes’ by Dolores Cannon, a regressional hynoptist. One of her subjects is a young American woman called Katie (not her real name) who, under hynopsis, recalls life as a male teacher called Suddi in Qumran in the 1st century AD. She has no recollection of what she says after each session and had no prior knowledge of the Essenes. The weekly sessions continue for a year and reveal information that is quite incredible.

Suddi’s description of the community fits with plans of archaeological remains. But she adds much more detail from her memories as Suddi; as a boy, a man, in old age and amazingly from after his ‘death’. It is a mixed community, although only the men live within the walls – the families dwell in a nearby village.

Suddi is a teacher of the Law and his two students are Benjoseph and Benzacharias. “Ben” in front of a name means “son of”, and the names Joseph and Zacharias. The author summises he was referring to Jesus and John. Suddi says they are both very intelligent but John is ‘more of the fire temperament’ and Jesus was quiet and pensive. Suddi often felt stupid when Jesus quietly expressed an opinion which threw a completely different light on a matter.

Suddi describes Jesus as fair skinned, with auburn hair and the most amazing eyes which seem to change colour from blue to green to grey.

Jesus is 8 when he first visits Qumran. Suddi ‘teaches’ the Law to him; laws given to the Essenes by Moses. The things that one should live daily by; in order to be considered holy and on the right path.

They also studied with other teachers to learn mathematics, the study of the stars, the study of the prophecies and the mysteries.

Suddi said that Jesus lived with his family in Nazareth but when not visiting Qumran, or travelled with his Uncle Joseph (Joseph of Arimathea) on his ships visiting mystery schools all over the world. Joseph was a very wealthy tin merchant and visited Cornwall as England was very important for tin at that time.

Later in the book Suddi talks about Jesus’ teachings. In his travels Jesus noticed that many of the teachers spoke in ways that the people did not understand. Jesus used nature to get his messages across. In the following extract from a session with Katie/Suddi, Jesus makes reference to reincarnation:-

“There is a plant that grows in a strange way; it will shoot up a single plant from the roots and other plants can come up from the roots. And the branches that grow up will bend over and out, and when they contact the ground, put down roots and start a new offspring plant. Jesus compared this to a man’s cycle of lives. That the plant putting up new plants from the roots was like a man going through rebirths. And the branches tipping over and making new plants would be the man’s family and his children, while he comes back for new lives and starts new families.”

Suddi said Jesus used the onion as a way of showing the different planes of existence.   “At the centre of the plant the layers are very thin and close together. Each layer is a different plane; at the centre it’s the smallest and the most limited, like the physical world. As one travels upward and outward in the planes, one’s horizon of understanding would expand each time and you would see and understand more.”

“There is no Hell, other than that you create yourself.”

Suddi said Jesus should be marvelled at, but not worshipped or deified, as we are all part of God.

“Jesus did not die to save us from our sins – we all have to pay for our own. If not during this lifetime, the next, or even the next.”

“Jesus wants to be remembered, but not in the way see him today. As a spirit guide, to enable people to achieve greater power for themselves. To not follow blindly and always question. If one does not question, one does not have faith.”

Suddi said one day Christ would return to earth and “there will be those who will know him.”

This is a fascinating book which resonates with me, but I recommend you read it for yourself to draw your own conclusions..

Many people in the west do not believe in reincarnation. It is not part of present day Christianity. Most of the references to it have been removed from the Bible. Why? In 553 AD, 165 Church officials condemned reincarnation. Up until then, it had been a fundamental Christian teaching, reinforced by the Council of 451. It is hard to believe that a woman called Theodora was largely responsible for this.

Justinian* became Roman emperor in 527. His wife, Theodora, had made a sharp social ascent. Daughter of a bear tamer from Constantinople, she began as a young beautiful prostitute greatly sought after by the aristocracy. She rapidly ascended the social ladder, becoming one of Justinian’s concubines, then his favourite, and finally in 523, his wife. In 527, she and her husband were crowned Empress and Emperor of the Roman Empire. Quite an achievement.. Theodora still had one remaining ambition – her own deification. Only then would she be equal with the Caesars of old. Previously Roman Emperors were automatically deified and received a place of worship in the temple halls.

* In 550, Justinian was the same emperor mentioned in ‘Mary Magdalene’s Final Legacy’ who ordered the destruction of the shrine containing the bones of Montanus, Priscilla and Maximilla and turned all Montanist buildings in the city over to the orthodox Church.

Justinian and Theodora

Christianity had brought an end to this custom, and reincarnation provided a stumbling block; what could prevent the errant empress from being reborn as a simple beggar? As long as reincarnation was anchored fast in Christian consciousness, the people would never accept her as a goddess. And so reincarnation had to be blotted out..

Theodora selected the monophysitist monks, who were soon to be pardoned from their excommunications, as willing helpers. They were to ensure that every teaching of reincarnation completely disappeared from all church documents.

But it was not earthly power alone that accomplished this evil. People would forget their true divine goal (to one day become gods and goddesses themselves), subjecting themselves to the mercy of an external god and forgetting their own divinity. They wait for a salvation that would never come, as each person can only save themselves.

The powers of darkness had found two helpers with great influence in Theodora and Justinian. Both of them were reported to be possessed. The historian, Procopius, quotes Justinian’s mother as confessing to her confidantes that Justinian was sired by a demon.

Thoedora died of cancer aged 48 in 548 AD before the church officially declared the doctrine of reincarnation heresy in 553 AD.

Fortunately, some texts were hidden and preserved.

The Holy Gospel of the Twelve’ is an Aramaic text discovered in a Buddhist monastery in Tibet in 1870…  Jesus makes numerous references to reincarnation:-

1. “The soul is purified through many births and experiences.”

2. “So through many births will ye be made perfect.”

3. “As all creatures come from the unseen into this world, so they return to the unseen, and so they will come again till they be purified.”

4. “Blessed are they who suffer many experiences, for they shall be made perfect through suffering: they shall be the angels of God in heaven and die no more, neither shall they be born anymore, for death and birth have no dominion over them.”

Why is reincarnation relevant? Because my next blog is about a young American woman called ‘Katie’ (not her real name) who under hypnosis recalls a past life as a teacher in the Essene community at Qumran. One of her students is Yeshua..

Why is Mary Magdalene an Ambassador to the Divine Feminine?

The Divine Feminine is an energy that has been with us since ancient times. Human consciousness is basically divided into the ‘masculine’ and the ‘feminine’ sides – we need both to achieve our highest potential.

The Feminine represents the connection to the part of our consciousness responsible for nurture, intuition and empathy, irrespective of gender. It is the aspect of the self associated with creation, intuition, community, sensuality and collaboration.

The Masculine brings insight, understanding, awareness, direction attaining goals and carrying out the Divine plan.

The Divine aspect is a connection with a higher source, or God, through your heart.

We have recently moved from the Age of Pisces into the Age of Aquarius. The Age of Aquarius is associated with democracy, freedom, humanitarianism, idealism and philanthropy.

More specifically, the age of equality between the Masculine and the Feminine.

The Age of Aquarius is causing great turmoil around us as everything associated with Piscean values is unravelling; governments, corporations and even personal relationships. The world appears chaotic..

Fortunately we are not alone.. We are being assisted by ascended masters and mistresses..

We need to reclaim the Divine Feminine within us both for our own spirituality and for the well- being of our planet.

Many times before the world has been through an ecological crisis, and Mother Earth carries within her the memories and wisdom we need.

But we need to listen..

It is a state of awareness that is connected to the wisdom of the heart, to natural and divine laws, and to a loving, harmonious and peaceful life.

But how can we do this in our everyday lives?

1. Feel your feelings

To fully access Divine Feminine energy we need to fully feel and release our feelings without judgement. Our instinct is to run away from painful feelings.. but they tend to follow you!

2. Trust your intuition

Intuition is a gift of the Divine Feminine. Intuitive impulses come from the heart, not the mind. They are often accompanied by signs and synchronicities in the outside world, so keep all six senses open to receive!

3. Listen to your body

The body knows before the mind what and who is toxic for you.

4. Listen to your inner voice

Creating regular times of quiet and meditation activates Divine Feminine energy.  Our technological advances have encouraged us to seek answers from the outside – google, youtube etc. We need to go back inside..

5. Be positive, active and creative

Neuroscience has shown that what we focus on grows. Focus on the positive aspects of your life and those of your colleagues, friends, and family. You will be amazed how it changes relationships.

If we change our internal landscape the outer one will change also..

Synergistic efforts of the individual will change collective consciousness.

So what does this have to do with Mary Magdalene?

Mary Magdalene exemplifies the Divine Feminine and has been called to assist us to support this process, the merging of the opposites, the Divine Feminine (receiver of Divine inspiration) alongside the Divine Masculine (acting out the Divine plan in the world).

According to the Gnostic gospel, The Dialogue of the Saviour, Yeshua  called Mary Magdalene ‘The Woman who knew the All’.

After Yeshua was crucified, she was steadfast in her faith and comforted the Apostles.   Her spiritual connection with Yeshua continued beyond his ‘death’, she started an egalitarian community where she wrote down his teachings.

She dedicated the rest of her life to teaching ‘The Way of the Heart’.

She has waited almost 2000 years for us to be sufficiently spiritually evolved to be able to receive Yeshua’s teachings.

Now is the time to recognise this woman for what she was – a true ambassador to the Divine Feminine.

The Akhenaten Mystery School

Akhenaten was the first pharaoh of Egypt and ruled for just 17 seventeen years from 1351-1344 BC. Before Akhenaten there were only kings, not pharaohs. Pharaoh means ‘that which you shall become’.

Akhenaten’s main aim was to break up all the occult religions and bring the Egyptian people back to a single religion where they believed in only one God.

The people worshipped statues, so Akhenaten had to give them something to worship, so he gave them the image of the Sun as God.

Akhenaten told the people that the breath of life, the prana field, came from the Sun. He also said “In this new religion there will be no more untruthfulness – we are going to change our art so it reflects the total truth.”

So during the 18th Dynasty the artists were instructed to sculpt or paint things just as they saw it, like a photograph.

Apart from for ceremonial purposes, they were not allowed to wear clothes, as wearing clothes was hiding, obscuring the truth.

Akhenaten was over 14 feet tall! He had a long skinny neck, skinny hands, a high waist, wide thighs and skinny legs. He married Nefertiti, who was just 10 foot tall! They had six daughters. Akhenaten also had a lesser royal wife called Kiya, who would become the mother of Tutankhamen.

Akhenaten and his father Amenhotep III ruled the country together and built a city called Tel el Amarna from white stones. Akhenaten laid a stone there which says ‘this is the centre of the country’. Satellite images confirm this today..

Amenhotep III resigned whilst still alive and gave the country to Akhenaten.

Akhenaten founded a mystery school – the Egyptian Mystery School of Akhenaten, the Law of One. The symbol was the Right eye of Horus. He brought students from the Left Eye of Horus (feminine side) Mystery School, graduates who were +45 years old, into the Right Eye of Horus Mystery School.  He taught them for 12 years, after which he had just 5 years to teach them immortality.

When you become immortal, your memory remains intact and you are conscious from them on. It means you stay in your body as long as you want (unless you are murdered), when you want to leave, you leave. This is the Egyptian definition of eternal life – continuous unbroken memory.

Almost 300 people, nearly all women achieved immortality. They joined the Tat Brotherhood and later migrated to Masada, Israel and formed the Essene Brotherhood.

Akhenaten knew he did not have long – the military and the priests plotted an elaborate scheme to dispose of him (see ‘Mary Magdalene’s Legacy’), but he was not concerned because his students would get into the Akashic Records and be a memory in our DNA.

King Tutankhamen took over directly after Akhenaten was disposed of. He was 18, married to one of Akhenaten and Nefertiti’s daughters. Tutankhamen ruled for just one year; Nefertiti was in hiding but was in telepathic communication with him to help him run the country.

Set I became the first king of the 19th Dynasty. He changed everything back to the old ways and called Akhenaten the same name they called Yeshua – ‘the criminal’.

Tel El Amarna was dismantled brick by brick and dispersed over the country to ensure there was no trace. Set I did not want the people to know that Akhenaten and Nefertiti had ever existed.

The site of Akhetaten, the city he built and designed for the worship of Aten, at Tel El Amarna, was lost from history until the 19th century when archaeologists discovered some artefacts buried deep under the ground including this bust of Nefertiti.

The Egyptian Mystery Schools

Egyptian Mystery school

The Eye of Horus Mystery Schools were named after Horus, son of Isis and Osiris. Set, brother of Isis and murderer of Osiris, was Horus’ rival. Horus was often depicted as a man with a falcon head.

Since Horus was said to be the Sky, he was considered to be also the Sun and Moon. The Sun was his right eye, the Moon his left, and they crossed the sky when he, as a falcon, flew across it.

Legend relates that Set, the patron of Upper Egypt, and Horus, the patron of Lower Egypt, battled for Egypt brutally until eventually the gods sided with Horus. In the struggle, Set lost a testicle and Horus’ eye was gouged out. The Eye of Horus became a symbol of protection from Horus or Ra, and the symbol of the Egyptian mystery schools.

The Eye of Horus Mystery Schools were founded by Thoth Hermes Trismegistus. Thoth was the Egyptian God of writing, magic, wisdom and the moon. He was depicted as a man with the head of an ibis. The ibis was a sacred bird in Ancient Egypt and associated with wisdom.

Both Thoth and Horus are holding in their right hands an ankh, the symbol for eternal life. There is an electromagnetic field surrounding our bodies shaped like the ankh and the Egyptians. The Egyptians believed the remembrance of it was the key to returning to eternal life.

Worship of Thoth began in Lower Egypt in the Pre-Dynastic Period (c6000-3150 BCE) and continued through the Ptolemaic Period (323-30 BCE), making Thoth’s worship among the longest of any deity from any civilization.

The Greeks admired him so greatly they credited him as being the originator of all knowledge on earth and in the heavens.

Pythagoras recorded that Thoth took him by the hand, led him under the Great Pyramid, and taught him all the geometries and nature of reality!

There were three Eye of Horus Mystery Schools in Egypt: the male school was the Right Eye of Horus, the female school the Left Eye of Horus. The third school was the child, the Middle, or Third Eye of Horus. This is life, which the Egyptians considered to be the most important school of all. They believed everything that happens in life is a lesson, part of a school preparing for higher levels of existence, which the modern world calls death.

The Egyptian Mystery Schools studied all aspects of human experience. Central to the training in the mysteries was the Mer-Ka-Ba, the human light body. In Hebrew it is Mer-Ka-Vah, means both the throne of God and a chariot, a vehicle that carries the human body and spirit from one place to another.

Initiates always attended the Left Eye of Horus School first. The feminine pathway explored emotions and feelings, both positive and negative, tantra, or sexual energy and their relationship to immortality, birthing, psychic energy, and everything that defies logic. If there was an emotional imbalance, this imbalance would stop the initiate from evolving. Without love, compassion and a healthy emotional body, the initiate would proceed on the path of enlightenment only so far, then stop. The mind can and will trick you into thinking all is well when not!

Fear was and remains the primary force which stops a person from growing into the light. As we move into the higher world of light, we manifest out thoughts and feelings directly. So what all the ancient races discovered, is that in order to exist in the higher worlds, we must overcome our fears here on Earth.

To achieve this, the Egyptians built 12 special temples along the Nile, associated with each of the chakras. Each chakra has its associated fears. It took 12 years of initiation, spending one year or cycle at each of the temples, learning all aspects of feminine consciousness. At each of the temples they would be put into extremely fearful situations, so by the end of 12 years they were absolutely fearless!

The Great Pyramid was the 13th temple and place of initiation.

Once emotional healing had taken place the initiates would progress to the male or Right Eye of Horus Mystery School. This was taught orally, and only once, although its primary components are etched on a single wall under the Great Pyramid that leads into the Hall of Records. There you will find The Flower of Life, some four foot in diameter, and 47 other images, representing chromosomes of Christ consciousness, the level we are ascending into now.

My cellular memory tells me that Yeshua attended the Left and Right Eye Mystery Schools in Egypt and was initiated under the Great Pyramid.

Yeshua was tried and crucified for ‘magic’ – for raising Lazarus from the dead after four days. I believe his Mystery School training taught him how to do this and many other miracles he performed, recorded in the New Testament.

My next blog will be about Akhenaten and his mystery school!

gospel of mary, Nag Hammadi

gospel of mary magdalene

The Nag Hammadi library is a daunting read of over 800 pages and I am often asked “Where is the best place to start reading the gnostic gospels?”

My answer is to start with the Gospel of Mary – it is short but more significantly, the only gospel signed by a woman – Mary Magdalene.

Found earlier than and therefore not part of the Nag Hammadi Library, three fragmentary copies have been found in Egypt. The first is a version in Coptic, discovered in 1896 near the area of Achmim. Two additional fragments in Greek were later found on the rubbish heap near the regional capital of Oxyrynchus.

Sadly, less than eight pages have survived, as pages 1-6 and 11-14 are missing,  but we still see a very different picture of Mary Magdalene than that portrayed by the New Testament.

It presents a radical interpretation of Yeshua’s teachings as a path to inner spiritual knowledge and challenges our romantic view of harmony within the first Christian groups. More significantly, we see Mary Magdalene not as a weeping submissive woman, but a strong, stable spiritual leader who, because of her understanding was privy to Yeshua’s private teachings.

As the first six pages are missing, the gospel opens in the middle of a post- resurrection appearance by Yeshua (referred to as the Saviour) to his disciples in which he answers their questions and offers a farewell discourse before commissioning  them to go out to preach the gospel of the kingdom.

But the disciples do not go out joyfully to preach the gospel; instead controversy erupts. All the disciples except Mary have failed to understand the Saviour’s teachings. Inner peace is nowhere to be found – they are distraught and frightened that preaching the gospel may result in them suffering the same agonizing fate.

Mary steps in and comforts them and Peter asks Mary to recount teaching unknown to them that she had received in a vision. She agrees and tells them about the rise of the soul past the powers of Darkness, Ignorance, Desire and Wrath, who seek to keep the soul trapped in the world and ignorant of its true spiritual nature.

When she is finished, she stands in silence, imitating the soul at rest. But the peace is disturbed by Andrew questioning the ‘strangeness’ of her teaching. Peter challenges whether Yeshua would give private instruction to a woman, thus showing he actually preferred her to the other disciples.

Mary begins to cry at Peter’s accusation. Levi comes quickly to her defence, reminding Peter he is a notorious hot-head and now he was treating Mary as the enemy. He admonishes them instead to do as the Saviour instructed them and go out to preach the gospel. The story ends here but the controversy is far from over. Andrew and Peter have not understood the Saviour’s teaching and are offended by  Yeshua’s apparent preference of a woman over them.

All early Christian literature bears traces of these controversies. The letters of Paul show that considerable difference of opinion existed about issues such as circumcision and the Jewish food laws.

History is written by the winners. Many voices were silenced through repression or neglect. The Gospel of Mary gives us information not recorded in the New Testament. It is not a question of right and wrong. The information we have been given was just incomplete.

Whether or not you choose to embrace the message from the Gospel of Mary is a matter readers will decide for themselves. The days of being told what to believe are over, thankfully.

‘Power vs Force’ by Dr David R Hawkins.

After many years of study, Dr Hawkins found that kinesiology, the study of muscle testing, revealed an amazing discovery. It provided a ‘wormhole’ between two universes – the physical world and the world of mind and spirit. It was an interface between dimensions.

As a psychiatrist and spiritual seeker, he was particularly interested in the study of consciousness.  He established a few core principles:-

Power is always manifested with grace. Grace is associated with modesty & humility.

Love is more powerful than hatred; truth sets us free; forgiveness liberates both sides; unconditional love heals; courage empowers; and the essence of Divinity is peace.

He found that levels of consciousness (energy fields) could be calibrated according to their measurable effect. With each rise in the level of consciousness, the ‘frequency/vibration’ of energy increases because higher consciousness radiates a beneficial effect on the whole world, verifiable in the human muscle response, which stays strong in the presence of love and truth. In contrast ‘false’ or negative energy fields induce a weak muscle response. He determined that human experience can be labelled on a scale from 1 – 1000 – a map of consciousness.

At the low end of the scale are Guilt (30), Fear (100), Anger (150). Humans at these levels feel victimized and trapped by the effect of forces in the physical universe. All  levels below 200 are described as “Force”, and are associated with a weak kinesiological  response.

All levels above 200 are described as “Power” and elicit a strong kinesiological response. Power is always manifested with grace. Grace is associated with humility. Higher on the scale are Courage (200), Willingness (310), Reason (400) & Love (500). Humans at these levels recognize that they are the source of their own lives. Most of the world’s great scientists (Newton, Freud) calibrate at 499, the highest level of intellect. Carl Jung calibrated at 540; he coined the term ‘collective unconsciousness’, a concept that transcends reason.

At the highest end of the scale (600-1000) are qualities that transcend duality – ‘Enlightenment’ . The great prophets of human history – Jesus, Krishna and Buddha all calibrate on this scale at 1000. Their oral teachings all calibrated near 1000. Unfortunately, their message was recorded by followers lower on the scale; this explains the Holy Wars and the vengeful God from the Old Testament. In Christian teachings, by the 2nd century the level of truth had dropped to 930 but by the 6th century it was at 540.  The current King James version of the New Testament calibrates at 640. Now I understand why my Balinese spiritual teacher, Ratu Bagus, is suspicious of the written word..

The recorded teachings of Buddha calibrate the highest ranging from 850 to 960.

I asked my kinesiologist, Martin Lewis, to test  the teachings of  Ratu, and the overall truth of my book ‘Mary Magdalene’s Legacy’. They both scored around 750. Clearly, I was not writing this book on my own….Thank you Ratu.

According to Hawkins, in 2006 there were only three people on the planet  who calibrated over 700, which makes Ratu pretty special. Hawkins also says 85% of the planet register below 200, counterbalanced by the 15% above 200. Furthermore, one individual over 700 counterbalances 70 million individuals below 200! Without these counterbalances, mankind would self-destruct from unopposed negativity.

I urge you to read his book but in the meantime leave you with a message from him;

Be kind and forgiving to everything and everyone, including yourself, at all times, without exception”.

Next week: Gospel of Mary of Magdala

How do you know what Mary Magdalene looked like?

mary magdalene, legacy, julie de vere hunt

Well I don’t – no one does! All we have to go on is art, which was heavily influenced by cultural context and what was fashionable at the time.. Only Mother Mary has been depicted more in art than Mary Magdalene over the last two millennia.

The covers of ‘Apostle to Mary Magdalene’ and ‘Mary Magdalene’s Legacy’ were both sourced by designer Ruth Sutherland from the following paintings:-

Pope Gregory’s homily in 591 placing emphasis on Mary Magdalene as a repentant sinner whose sins were distinctly sexual, had a profound influence on the art which was produced for the next 1500 years. She would often be portrayed as a weak and tearful woman, in varying degrees of undress.

Mary Magdalene
Mary Magdalene in the Cave, Jules Joseph Lefebrve 1876

In a world where only the most educated could read the Bible, art was a crucial tool for the Church. It would not be until 1969 the Catholic Church retracted this statement, but the damage had been done – Mary Magdalene had permeated our consciousness as the fallen woman, whose path to salvation was only achieved through years of repentance living as a recluse.

Sadly, this served the Catholic Church in their patriarchal oppression of women. No male saint has ever been treated this way!

Fortunately, artists were creative and ‘hid’ characters in their art – only ‘those who had eyes to see’ would perceive the symbolism.

Mary Magdalene, Leonardo da Vinci
The Last Supper by Leonardo da Vinci

Take the famous painting of ‘The Last Supper’ by Leonardo da Vinci. The apostles are identified by name from a manuscript, The Notebooks of Leonardo da Vinci, found in the 19th century. The twelve apostles are depicted in groups of three, Yeshua is sat in the middle. From left to right,

Bartholomew, James son of Alpheus, and Andrew; Judas (in green & blue), Peter & John (?); Thomas, James the Greater & Philip; Matthew, Jude Thaddeus & Simon the Zealot.

Surely, John is a woman we are looking at? The tiny, graceful hands, the pretty elfin features, the distinctly female bosom and the gold necklace. This person is also wearing garments that mark her out as special. They are the mirror image of Yeshua’s; one wears a blue robe and a red cloak, the other wears a red robe and a blue cloak in identical style.

My cellular memory tells me this is Mary Magdalene!  In ‘Mary Magdalene’s Legacy’, John was her first pseudonym – she wrote the Gospel of John, and the Secret Gospel of John was her first transmission at the Lake Mareotis community.

Da Vinci was alleged to be Grand Master of the Priory of Sion, an ancient secret order set up to protect the Merovingian kings in France, who in turn claim to have heritage from Mary Magdalene…

In June 2019, I was attending a bio-energetic meditation retreat in Ireland and visited the Knock shrine on our way to the airport.

Knock, Mother Mary statue

In August 1879, Our Lady appeared at the gable of the church with St Joseph and St John the Evangelist. A Lamb stood upon a plain altar. Some saw angels hovering above the Lamb. The witnesses prayed for over two hours in the pouring rain, although the gable was dry to the touch.

After reading notes by the witnesses, these three figures were carved by Venetian sculptor Professor Lorenzo Ferri in 1960 to commemorate the miracle.

My friends and I sat in the front pew immediately before them and meditated. Immediately my eyes started to flicker and I ‘saw’ a large pink heart. My friend Suzanne saw the same.. I immediately thought of ‘The Way of the Heart’ – it is always pink to me – Mary Magdalene!

So I believe the figure to the right of Mother Mary is not John, it’s a woman, Mary Magdalene. The book in her left hand represents the gnostic gospels. Her right hand is performing a mudra, which she would have learnt about in the Mystery school in Alexandria. A mudra is a hand gesture that channels your body’s energy flow. She is practising the  Prana mudra; prana is the vital life force within all living things – she is awakening both her personal prana and the prana around her.

My cellular memory tells me the figure to the left of Mother Mary is Joseph of Arimathea, her half-brother, not her husband Joseph. In ‘Mary Magdalene’s Legacy’, it is Joseph of Arimathea who is entrusted with the care of Yeshua’s mother and Mary Magdalene, the mother of his child. He arranged for their escape from Judea to Alexandria.

I wonder where else she is hiding?

Why do I call Jesus Yeshua and Mary Mother Mary in ‘Apostle to Mary Magdalene’ and ‘Mary Magdalene’s Legacy’?

Yeshua, Mary Magdalene, Julie De Vere Hunt

Well the name ‘Jesus’ did not exist at this time, as it was derived from the Greek word IESOUS. The letter ‘J’ was not added to the English alphabet until the 14th century.

Yeshua is a shortened version of the name ‘Yehoshua’ or ‘Joshua’ and is the Hebrew word for ‘salvation’.

Around the time of his birth, the names ‘Yeshu’ and ‘Yeshua’ were not uncommon. Aramaic was used in everyday language, but Hebrew remained the holy language . They are as similar to one another as Italian is to Spanish – both used the same alphabet.

Yeshua was a direct descendant of King David through both his mother Mary’s and father Joseph’s lineage. When Yeshua read from the scroll of Isaiah in the synagogue he read in Hebrew, not Greek or Aramaic.

It doesn’t matter what you call him, he will answer to both, but I prefer to call him Yeshua as that it was he was called in his lifetime.

Mother Mary and Yeshua, Isle of Barra, Outer Hebrides, Scotland
Mother Mary and Yeshua, Isle of Barra, Outer Hebrides, Scotland

Which brings me on to his mother Mary, called Mother Mary, the Virgin Mary or Our Lady. I refer to her as Mother Mary in my books. I took this photo earlier this year when we were touring the Hebrides in our campervan. I love it.

Many of the founders of the world’s religions, Yeshua or Krishna for example, are said to have been born of a virgin birth, i.e, their mother and father did not physically mate. In Luke 1:26-39 the angel Gabriel was sent by God to Nazareth to bring news to a virgin named Mary. The angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favour with God. You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus (Yeshua). He will be great and will be called the son of the most High..”

Many people struggle with this concept (I am sure Joseph had some questions..). But virgin births occur all the time in nature. Insects, rodents, reptiles, plants, trees..

A female bee can give birth a male bee without mating with a male bee. However, if she wants to make a female bee, she must mate with a male. So the male bee needs only a mother, but the female bee needs both father and mother.

The scientific term is parthenogenesis, a natural form of asexual reproduction in which growth and development of embryos occurs without fertilization.  Or immaculate conception, as the mother does not have to be a virgin.

Mother Mary was a virgin when she conceived Yeshua, but she went on to have other children (the Gospel of Mark (6:3) and the Gospel of Matthew (13:55-56) mention James, Joseph, Jude and Simon as brothers of Jesus, the son of Mary).

The Church refers to her as the Virgin Mary or Our Lady.

The Church does not accept that Yeshua had a relationship with Mary Magdalene, or fathered a child.

So the two principal figures of the Church are a virgin and a celibate unmarried male. Sex has been removed from the equation.

Virginity and chastity were considered by the Church the most desired state. Sex was frowned upon, even within marriage!

The Egyptians believed it was through sexual energy that divinity and even immortality could be reached.

I will return to this under ‘Egyptian Mystery Schools’ which I believe both Mary Magdalene and Yeshua attended..

Angel Reading at Watkins Bookshop, Covent Garden

Having written two books in 16 months, I am now a travelling saleswoman, phoning and visiting independent bookshops to see if they will stock my books. Publishers do not have time to do this, and there is not much point writing books if no one reads them…

Watkins Books in Cecil Court, Central London is J D Rowling’s favourite bookshop.

It is now also one of mine.

Wendy Erlick has written a book called “The gift of an Angel: A Guide to Integrating Spirituality into everyday Life” which chronicles her life journey and how she met her own angel (we all have our own personal one) – a surprisingly down to earth read.

Wendy sits in the window of Watkins on Tuesdays and gives angel readings. After reading  her book two years ago, I decided to go and see her to see what she had to say. She said a few generalized things which could apply to anyone (you will shine your star..) but at the end she did say I would be a great writer and she would like to come to my book signing.

So when I finished my first book, ‘Apostle to Mary Magdalene’, I emailed her and reminded her what she said and asked her to endorse my book! Bless her she did.

I went to see her again last month for an update and to see if she could introduce me to the buyer at Watkins (gosh I sound pushy!). I showed her my second book ‘Mary Magdalene’s Legacy’ and she said “You should go and talk to Mike downstairs – they will probably stock it”. I asked her if I could mention her name and she replied “You can if you wish but I don’t think you need to”.

We had a little chat about poor sales on Amazon and she offered me her list of UK New Age shops. She then paused to listen to her angel and wrote down the following:

“Do not be anxious  Allow the soul of the book to fly where it needs to fly  Julie it serves you to come for the position of serving. The purpose of your book is to assist people to reconnect with the Divine and to be held by the Divine Mother.                                                                                      They need to be of a vibration to receive you. You are served by not taking anything personally                                                         Draw back. Most fortunate because you are resourced! Now all that is needed is a concrete practical plan                                                             Know that you have done well. Understand you are blessed!”

I feel very blessed indeed….

Yesterday, The Henge Shop in Avebury ordered 12 of my books and have asked me to do a book signing on December 15.

I know one person (and her angel) I will be inviting…
